Inspiration today comes from my family friend and long-time neighbor, Jed Bondy.
Jed’s a freshman and decided he wanted to a change from his front desk job. He approached a professor and asked whether she needed office help in a freshman academic seminar she runs. Sure enough … job.
Is this a huge job? No (even Jed was surprised to learn I thought this was valuable). But the interaction with the professor will be, as now she’ll always remember Jed as the kid who was proactive.
Proactive = control = results = confidence.
