Keep your chin up …convocation speeches

Some great messages to recent grads, many of whom are still searching for jobs, from recent convocation speeches cited by the NYT.  Today I’ll point out Seattle QB Russell Wilson, who said, “When life tells you no, find a way to keep things in perspective. That doesn’t make the painful moments any less painful. But it does mean you don’t have to live forever in the pain. … Because if you know what you’re capable of, if you’re always prepared, and you keep things in perspective, then life has a way of turning ‘no’ into ‘yes.’”

Great advice; I’m a particular fan of the preparation part, and have seen countless examples of how preparation leads to confidence and ultimately, success.
