Interviewing is a bit like acting. For most people, interviewing can be stressful; you feel like you’re performing, but without a script. But even if you’d never perform on a stage or in front of a camera, all of you graduates and soon-to-be graduates can and must “perform” in front of an interviewer.
Asked what makes a great actor, Laurence Olivier (old folks’ version of, say, Robert Downey, Jr.), responded, “The humility to prepare and the confidence to pull it off.” Preparation will always trump nerves.
