Become an expert

Working on weaknesses is certainly admirable.  And in many contexts, it’s an absolute necessity.

I’d argue that for college students looking to foster their passion, and ultimately turn that into a job, you’re better off working a lot on your strengths, instead.

If you like marketing, do it all the time.  Writing? Same thing.  Do so in as many different arenas as possible.  Meet other people who are skilled, and mimic what they do.

Become an expert in something you find appealing.  Then you’ll be employable.
