How to act on a job: take notes

Day 3 in our series on how to act as a entry-level worker. You’ve gotten to work on time and ready to go. You’re dressed well. The next step? Some kind of training/orientation, right? Unlike college, though, when some people (not those reading this, obviously) would be tempted to play on their phones and not pay attention at all to another boring training seminar, work is different.

SO PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY AND BRING A NOTEPAD. Nerdy? Perhaps, but there’s nothing more irksome to an employer than an employee who asks the same question repeatedly, especially one that was answered in training.
