How to act on a job is something most people take for granted, but entry level workers can find befuddling. In a first of a series, let’s hit on some stuff that should ease the transition from fun/partying (oops- I mean, working hard in college) to the so-called real world.
For today, let’s start with showing up ready to work. This means that at 9am, or whenever you are supposed to start your day, you actually start your day. It doesn’t mean you come in and spend 20 minutes updating your fantasy baseball roster or checking out twitter while drinking your morning joe. It’s true that you might not get “caught,” but trust me, when you do, you’ll make someone important look at you quite differently.
